Two new videos of Rose Hill Community Centre have been released giving better visualisation to stakeholders of the final project.

The £3million new build centre in South Oxford was designed using Building Information Modelling (BIM.) BIM enables the creation of a 3D digital model.

By using a model to link the different aspects of design, the project can be understood in a much clearer way. For example, it is easier to understand a model of an architect’s design than interpreting what it will look like from a 2D drawing. The project feels more tangible because you can create “walkthroughs” giving a first-hand experience of being able to move through the building.

Until recently a walk through model has been available but the two new videos provide a more engaging three dimensional feel so stakeholders have a more realistic experience. The models were created by Qoda Consulting, acting as BIM coordinators on the project.
