This week, the planning application for Braywick Leisure Centre was formally validated by the council’s planning department, representing an important step forward for the project’s progress. Clarkson Alliance are providing Development, Project and Cost Management Services on the project.
It contains full details of the proposed £32 million facility which the council is building to provide residents with a community space to enjoy sport, art and cultural events for years to come.
Cllr Samantha Rayner, cabinet member for culture and communities, said: “This is a great milestone on the journey towards opening Braywick Leisure Centre as a venue for all. Building a borough for everyone means providing residents with all the infrastructure and facilities they will need and investing in this state-of-the-art leisure centre is an important part of our wider strategy to match the emerging Borough Local Plan.”
The centre is due to open to users by December 2019, pending planning permission. View further details and images of the project on the Project page.
