Services

Independent project and cost management, tailored to your project

Clarkson Alliance provides independent, project and cost management services for commercial construction projects across the UK.

Support is flexible and proportionate. Some clients require full end-to-end leadership, while others need targeted specialist input or independent assurance at key stages. Services are shaped around the needs of each project, with a consistent focus on governance, risk control and certainty of outcome.

Experience spans new build, refurbishment and retrofit schemes, including work delivered in live, sensitive and highly governed environments.

How clients typically engage

Engagement models vary depending on the project, programme and organisational context.

Some clients appoint a single service, such as construction project management or cost management. Others combine services to provide integrated leadership and commercial oversight. Specialist services such as design and surveys are sub-contracted where projects require a single point of responsibility.

In all cases, the role remains the same: acting independently in the client’s best interests, supporting informed decision-making and maintaining control throughout delivery.

Project Management Services

Project management services provide clear, dependable leadership from early stages through to completion.

This includes governance and reporting, coordination of consultants and contractors, programme and construction risk management, stakeholder engagement and day-to-day oversight. The emphasis is on clarity, communication and maintaining momentum, particularly where projects involve multiple stakeholders or operational constraints.

Cost Management Service

Cost management services provide objective commercial advice to support confident decisions and protect project budgets.

Support spans early-stage construction cost planning and feasibility advice through to procurement, cost control, reporting and final account agreement. A strong focus on construction cost planning helps clarify affordability and risk before key commitments are made and maintain financial control as projects progress.

Specialist support where it matters most

In addition to core project and cost management services, specialist support is provided where projects require deeper focus or independent input.

This includes design, construction risk management, project health checks, project recovery, employer’s agent roles and procurement advisory services. These services are often used to stabilise projects, provide assurance or support critical decisions.

Projects are delivered across a range of sectors, with particular expertise in leisure, sports, education, healthcare, heritage, commercial property and industrial environments.

The team operates nationally, with a strong presence across Oxfordshire, the South West and London, supporting clients in Oxford, Bristol, Swindon and beyond. Local knowledge is combined with national experience, ensuring advice is grounded, practical and commercially informed.

Every project is different. Some benefit from intensive leadership from the outset, while others require targeted advice at key stages.

An early conversation helps clarify priorities, identify risk and determine the most appropriate level of support.
