Muller Wiseman selected Clarkson Alliance to oversee the new facility as the existing bottling plant was a project we had originally managed in 2003. The new £17m butter plant was intended to process 90,000 tonnes of cream a year and 45,000 tonnes of butter, enhancing the company’s existing range of dairy products
Clarkson Alliance provided project management, cost management, contract management and CDM expertise. By breaking the work down into 7 work packages, they could be tendered ahead of detailed design stages to meet tight production deadlines. As experts in the NEC3 form of contract, implementing the contract provided control of the project, enabling improved changed management and cost control.
The completed, accredited state-of-the-art processing plant, which is the largest of its kind in the UK has been producing block butter for the food ingredient and food manufacturing sectors and launched its retail packet butter in May 2015
