Littlehampton Leisure Centre
Arun District Council built a new leisure centre as part of the council’s commitment to improve leisure services for the local community. Clarkson Alliance provided Project and Cost Management services.
The centre includes
- an eight-lane 25-metre swimming pool
- a training pool with moveable floor
- an 80-85 station gym
- a dance studio which can divide into two spaces
- a spinning studio
- a café
- a multi-purpose room/meeting room and sauna
It was erected on the site of the current sports dome and overflow car park. The new building was constructed adjacent to the existing Littlehampton Swimming Centre, which was demolished.
Enabling works were completed on time in August 2017 and main construction of the leisure centre began in September 2017. The project was delivered using Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the completed centre opened as scheduled in April 2019.
