One of Clarkson Alliance’s rising stars, Jason Crozier, has recently been awarded a first class degree – a BSC in Construction Project Management from Oxford Brookes University.

His dissertation entitled: “Mind the Gap: Practically achieving carbon reduction / energy saving targets: Closing the energy performance gap” investigated the disparity between designed and actual energy performance of new build non domestic properties.

During his research he collaborated with many members of Constructing Excellence Oxford, who provided expert insights from a range of individuals who would make up a project team. The opportunity to identify and implement the greatest energy efficiencies lies with the project team. Key to achieving the desired outcomes are the project managers who provide strong leadership to ensure real savings can be made and the Energy Performance Gap lessened.

Oxford Brookes recognised his work as the best undergraduate dissertation in the Real Estate and Construction departments and it has been awarded The Construction Dissertation Prize.

We will be sharing some of the insights from his research in the coming weeks.
