          Braywick Leisure Centre, Maidenhead A project to construct an iconic leisure centre in Braywick Park, Maidenhead, that will offer an integrated indoor and outdoor recreational hub for residents in the Maidenhead area. The project has been described as a ‘one in 40 years opportunity’, to provide an outstanding and sustainable leisure facility. Clarkson Alliance are acting as Development Manager for the new leisure centre project, managing all aspects of the delivery of the new building which will include: 10-lane, 25m swimming pool with moveable floor Training pool and splash area 200-station gym and separate health suite Sports halls and dance studios Nursery and soft play area Six outdoor netball / tennis courts Four squash courts 40m x 60m floodlit all weather 3G pitch 500 parking spaces 80 seat café The proposed centre will replace the existing Magnet Leisure Centre in Maidenhead and is expected use 75% less energy than the existing facility. The project will take advantage of Building Information Management (BIM) technology to improve efficiencies in the planning, construction and future building management process.The centre is due to open to users in 2020, pending planning permission. This large scale project is part of the larger regeneration of parts of Maidenhead, which includes new housing developments and office space, additional town centre and commuter parking and improved transport links in line with the development of Crossrail. Caledonian Clock Tower and Heritage Centre Islington, London         Caledonian Park in Islington, north London, has a rich history. It was the site of a 17th century mansion, which then became a tearoom, tavern and pleasure gardens; this was then replaced by a cattle market in the mid-19th century and the area was transformed into one of the largest markets in Europe. The centrepiece of the market is the Clock Tower; Clarkson Alliance is delighted to be working with Islington Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to provide project management services to restore the clock tower and develop a small heritage centre. This centre will enable the development of a programme of activities, training and volunteer opportunities to encourage use of the park and engage the community with the local heritage. The conservation works include: Undertaking essential repair and conservation work and make access improvements to the Grade II* listed Clock Tower Repair the original ‘market’ railings Develop a range of displays to inform visitors of the historical importance of the site A heritage centre, including a room for school sessions and family activities; accessible toilets; café; park ranger office and area for use of park volunteers. Waterworld, Wrexham and Chirk Activity and Leisure Centre

Wrexham and Chirk Leisure Centres A partnership between Wrexham County Borough Council, Freedom Leisure, Clarkson Alliance and Leisure Energy to refurbish two leisure centres In our capacity as design, project and cost managers Clarkson Alliance has been working closely with Freedom Leisure and Wrexham County Borough Council to develop and deliver the scheme of refurbishment. Chirk Leisure and Activity Centre will be completed in July 2017, with work at Waterworld, Wrexham finishing during autumn 2017. Clarkson Alliance is also providing Principal Designer services. The improvements to the two leisure centres in Wrexham aim to increase participation by residents by offering a greater selection of activities that will attract a wider demographic, so helping to reduce inactivity and improve well being. The completed will be more offer greater accessibility for users, as well as being more energy efficient. At Chirk, the improvements include an extension to and refurbishment of the existing gym and an upgraded reception area. At Waterworld, the cafe, reception and changing rooms are being improved, and a cycling studio added. The alterations which have been made at the two sites will reduce energy by 400 tonnes p.a. which is equivalent to the energy needed to power 150 new three bedroom houses each year. Littlehampton Leisure Centre

Littlehampton Leisure Centre Arun District Council is building a new leisure centre as part of the council’s commitment to improve leisure services for the local community. Clarkson Alliance are providing Project Management services.      Clarkson Alliance has been appointed by Arun District Council to provide project and cost management services to the new Littlehampton Leisure Centre. The centre is set to offer an eight lane, 25-metre swimming pool, learner pool with a moveable floor, gym, dance studio, spinning studio, and a café. It will be erected on the site of the current sports dome and overflow car park.  The new building is being constructed adjacent to the existing leisure centre, the Littlehampton Swimming Centre, which will be demolished once the new leisure centre opens. Enabling works were completed on time in August 2017 and main construction of the leisure centre began in September 2017. The completed centre is expected to open in April 2019. The project will be delivered using Building Information Modelling (BIM) level 2 which will offer 3D visualisation of the proposed building and post contract operation and maintenance benefits for the client. Oaks residential community, Prague

            The Oaks, Residential community, Prague Clarkson Alliance is pleased to be working on our first international project: Oaks is a €400 million mixed-use development just outside the city of Prague, Czech Republic. The purpose of the scheme is to create a unique new community deeply connected to the idyllic countryside whilst being close to the busy city of Prague. The project, which is currently under construction will offer:  155 family homes and 69 apartments 18-hole PGA golf course, cycle tracks and horse trails  Hotel, spa and wellness centre Country club Amenities including a kindergarten, post office, shops and restaurants  Over 14 architectural firms have been appointed to work on the scheme, including acclaimed British architect John Pawson who has designed the renovation of the chateau – an 18th century hunting lodge – which will form the centre of the Oaks community. The whole project will cover 345 acres, and will use passive design techniques and energy efficient systems. Construction work has begun on many elements of the project, including on the 18-hole PGA golf course which is being designed by Kyle Phillips who has designed some of the finest golf courses in the world including Kingsbarns, Scotland and at the Verdura Resort in Sicily. This will be the first PGA course in the Czech Republic. Clarkson Alliance is providing leadership support to the project team to achieve their objectives of delivering a modern community where like-minded people can achieve a lifestyle connected to nature.
