Hounslow Leisure Projects,
The London Borough of Hounslow needed help to deliver new “leisure hubs” into its communities. In partnership with a not-for-profit leisure trust, the vision was to improve the facilities on offer by the local council to a public whose expectations have been raised by experience of private health facilities.
New leisure hubs in two of its locations would offer sports facilities, swimming pool, childcare, cafe and a library all under one roof. Clarkson Alliance was chosen to oversee both the leisure hubs as well as an ambitious extension to New Chiswick Pool which would see an extra floor added to the existing site to allow for provision of a new gym, a new crèche, spin studio, open plan reception area and cafe.
With our extensive experience working with leisure trusts to achieve a maximum return on investment, we fully understand that it’s imperative refurbishments are completed on time and with minimum disruption to the site if it is to remain operational. The new leisure hubs at Hanworth Air Park and Isleworth offer superb revamped facilities, with Hanworth leisure centre enjoying a brand new 300m2 library linked by a double-height dual entrance.
Clarkson Alliance provided design, project management and cost management services.
