A successful partnership delivering leisure improvements all over the country
Clarkson Alliance have a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of leisure centre development and revitalisation, delivering over 100 leisure projects over the past 20 years. We have developed a partnership with leisure operator Freedom Leisure, providing project, cost and design management on over 20 leisure centres since 2012.
We take a tailored approach for each leisure centre, considering variables such a demographic, current usage, and the opportunities or constraints based on the individual spaces. We are able to use our experience to advise on ways to increase revenue by maximising under-utilised spaces, and tailoring existing areas towards high demand activities.
The specific capital improvements vary from centre to centre but often include:
- Reconfiguration of gym to improve use of space
- Designing a new reception and cafe area in order to improve customer experience
- Refurbishment of the changing areas and studio spaces
Across these centres Freedom Leisure has seen significant increases in both membership and usage, highlighting the value of the capital works in a range of new facilities.
We add the greatest value on these projects when we begin work at an early stage – typically during the bidding process. This ensures that the local authority benefits from consistency of service for the duration of the improvement works and has confidence that their intended outcomes will be delivered.
