Energy Saving for Leisure

Driven by widespread experience in the leisure sector and a passion for delivering capital improvements designed to increase public engagement and revenue, Leisure Energy is a strategic alliance initiated by leisure energy experts and Graham Clarkson, founder of Clarkson Alliance.

Energy savings of up to 50% for leisure centres

The consultants at Leisure Energy, a sister company to Clarkson Alliance, can offer clients a range of energy efficiency services for leisure centres looking to save money on energy, from an initial assessment and benchmarking from which we can identify where sustainable savings can be made, to project management of the entire process, through to installation

We have delivered over 100 leisure centre alteration and refurbishment projects, most of which involve multi-site projects and work in operational centres that require minimal disruption to consumers. Our approach is collaborative, so stakeholder management is a key element to our strategy and for some clients we can also manage the implantation of third party energy efficiency plans.

We work extensively with Leisure Trusts who are able to offer more competitive bids for leisure management contracts by including energy saving initiatives. In 2014 we helped to secure 75% of leisure management contracts which included our energy saving proposals. We carry out an energy efficiency assessment and by benchmarking the results against our database of data from actual operational energy efficient leisure centres, we can clearly show the potential for lower levels of CO2 output and payback periods.

The projects at Goldenstones like sewerage return savings, low energy lighting, pool dosing, intelligent variable speed drives and pool covers have not only justified the need for implementing new equipment but also helped save money by being able to have confidence in the suppliers chosen by Dr Bob. We have already saved thousands and in future this will be tens of thousands with the rising cost of utilities making structured and well thought out energy saving initiatives like these impossible to ignore.
