Today, 29 March, Littlehampton Wave has officially been opened to the public. Within minutes of opening the cafe was busy, people were already in the pool, and enjoying the gym with its views out to the sea. Photos of the opening and the new centre are below. Clarkson Alliance provided Project and Cost Management services to Arun District Council, working with the council to define and deliver their objectives on this flagship leisure project.

Facilities at the new leisure centre include:

  • Eight lane, 25 metre pool
  • Multi-purpose pool with moveable floor
  • 85 station gym with latest equipment
  • Dance studios
  • Sports hall
  • Cycling studio
  • Café & spectator seating
  • Range of accessible features throughout the building.

A time-lapse video is being created, featuring fast-forwarded footage of the creation of the Littlehampton Wave – from the first foundations being laid, to the completion of the building.

“Clarkson Alliance have provided excellent support to Arun District Council throughout the Littlehampton Wave project. We have worked with a number of their team and they all committed to doing a great job, are approachable and ready to challenge decisions when required. I feel confident that their leadership will ensure the completed leisure centre will be delivered to a high quality.”

“In 2014, Arun District Council started the project to build a new leisure centre in Littlehampton.  We listened to what the community wanted, and now we have delivered this amazing building in a stunning location. Who wouldn’t want to visit and enjoy everything that the Littlehampton Wave has to offer, set so close to the sea and in a beautiful park?”
