Clarkson Alliance are delighted to be acting as Development Managers for a new leisure project at Braywick Park, Maidenhead. The designs for the centre have now been unveiled, providing residents with an early glimpse of what they can expect to see at the state-of-the-art new leisure centre which – subject to planning – is scheduled to open in 2019. The new centre will replace the existing Magnet Leisure Centre in Maidenhead and is expected to provide energy savings of 70%.

Key facilities at Braywick Leisure Centre will include:

  • 10-lane, 25m swimming pool
  • Training pool and splash area
  • 200-station gym and a separate health suite
  • Two dance studios and a spinning studio
  • Six outdoor netball / tennis courts and four squash courts
  • 80-seat café with views of the pool
  • Nursery and soft play area
  • Improved accessibility for disabled users and sports teams
  • 500 parking spaces
  • 40m x 60m floodlit all weather 3G pitch

The proposals for the new Braywick Leisure Centre will provide a space for everyone to enjoy high-quality sports, leisure, arts and cultural events indoors and outdoors. As a Maidenhead resident I am particularly excited to be leading this project on behalf of RBWM delivering the new centre at the end of 2019, subject to planning permission.
