Change is hard because the more you do something, the more ingrained it becomes. The more you practice, the more effortlessly it is. When implementing a big change, strong leadership to keep the change on track is needed. Sometimes it is not the case that others are actively resisting the new change but when they are against a deadline they will naturally gravitate towards what they are familiar with.
