BIM has the capacity to benefit a project in multiple ways. Often called “Model uses” these range from cost estimation to clash detection and energy use. You might choose to use BIM for a single model use or you might decide to use BIM for many of these advantages. It is important to give a realistic idea of what BIM can achieve for your client or project team and that you know how to make your software deliver the corresponding benefit.
